Mid-September Updates

August has come and gone and September has kicked off with a bang! This month we have many activities scheduled including Grandparents day on September 12th. This is the same week as the Book Fair, so make sure you take the opportunity to talk to your children about the wonderful books they would like to purchase and read. Also, we can’t forget the Pow Wow Golf Scramble on September 23rd! If you haven’t had the opportunity to sign up, or if you don’t know what it is, check it out here. The deadline to register is this Friday, September 16th.

School Grounds Changes

In case you haven’t noticed, our school grounds have undergone many improvements recently that we hope has WOW’d our students.

• First off, we replaced one of the oldest K-2nd playground equipment and it looks FABULOUS!

• Second, our Beautification Specialists Brian and Codi Caine worked together with other ILE Parents and PTO members to clear trees, shrubs, and bushes all around the school. Here you can see Colin and Ray, two students, working to beautify our school.

• Lastly, the 3rd-5th grade playground has some new four-square courts.

ILE PTO Online Store

Many of you have asked, and we have listened. We are currently in the process of building out the store so y’all can purchase the great I LE PTO “Merch”. We hope to have the Online Store available sometime in October, so stay tuned for more news. Additionally, if you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, the signup is at the bottom of every PTO page. Our hopes is to provide monthly newsletters to help inform all ILE parents of our upcoming events and other activities the PTO has upcoming.

Mom’s In Prayer

Moms in Prayer is currently looking for moms who are willing to make a commitment to meet once a week for an hour every Tuesday morning to pray for our kids, teachers, the principal, and the entire school.

Come Pray With Us!

Find community. Find purpose. We are mothers who, together, bring all our concerns before our Heavenly Father. In prayer, we know that we are not alone and this gives us reassurance and hope. Let us stand with you in prayer for your children and their schools. We are delighted to meet you!

STEAM Donations

In case you haven’t heard… Indian Lake Elementary school participates in the STEAM Education program. STEAM, very much like STEM, is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. A STEAM education helps prepare students for an ever-changing workforce, teaching them the core concepts in a single cohesive learning experience based on real-world application.
